Flowers of Perfection (Tom SA) NR

Kayla sighed happily as she walked into her apartment after a long days work. She began to take her coat off, and walk to the kitchen until she noticed something on the floor. A little tulip sat in the middle of the living room floor. She moved to pick it up and noticed a note attatched to it.

'The Tulip - For your beautiful eyes'

" Tom?" She called out, noticing the note was in her boyfriends handwriting.

She walked towards the hallway and noticed it was littered with various kinds of flowers. Her eyes widened and she bent to pick a sunflower up.

'The Sunflower - For loyalty'

" Tom, what's going on?"

She moved on to the next flower, and then the next after that, each one with their little note attatched to it.

'The Blue Violet - For Faithfulness'

'The Red Carnation - For Heartache'

'The Daffodil - For Respect'

'The Dandelion - For Wishes Come True'

'The Clover - For Good Luck'

'The Eucalyptus - For Protection'

The last one Kayla picked up was a red rose.

'The Thornless Red Rose - For Not Only Love, But Love at First Sight'

She walked into the bedroom, with each flower in hand, to find Tom smiling up at her from the bed.

" Tom, What is this?"

"Each flower represents a different meaning, a different emotion I feel about you or something that sparked a memory in me. The Tulip, for the beautiful blue eyes I get to stare into each day," Tom stood and took the Tulip, putting it into a vase by the bed," The Sunflower, for the loyalty you show me everyday with the fans and press. For the loyalty I hope to repay you. The Blue Violet, for the faithfulness we have shown each other these past four years, and the faithfulness I wish to have in years to come."

With each flowers discription, Tom placed it into the vase to join the others, which Kayla now saw had LIFE written on the side.

"The Red Carnation, for the heartache we're both sure to endure, but will overcome with our love. The Daffodil, for the respect I have for you. Everything you go through makes that respect grow each day."

Kayla couldn't wipe the grin off of her face as he grabbed the next flower from her hands.

"The Dandelion, for all of your hopes and wishes I want to fulfill. The Clover, for luck in love, our relationship, and our life. The Eucalyptus, for the protection I will give you and you will give me. The security we will both recieve in each others arms. The Thornless Red Rose, for the raw love I felt for you when I first set eyes on you."

Tom placed the rose with the other flowers and turned to the dresser by the bed," And last, but certainly not least, The Primrose, as a symbol for how much I can't live without you. This flower is my hope, my dreams. In it you will find something that can make me both the luckiest man alive, or the unhappiest man alive. Open the petals, Kayla."

Kayla hesitated for a second, before taking the flower with shaky hands and gently pulling the petals apart. In it she found a simple, but elegant, silver engagement ring. She covered her mouth and gasped for air as she finally realized what was happening. She looked into Tom's eyes and smiled as he got to his knees and took the ring from inside the flower.

" Kayla, make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?"

"Of course," she whispered, nodding her head feverently," Of Course."

Tom stood and kissed her, then slid the ring onto her left ring finger.

" Tom, this was the most romatic thing you've ever done. It was perfect."

Tom smiled and reached behind him into the vase, pulling out a flower Kayla hadn't seen. She looked at the note attatched and laughed.

'The Camellia - For Perfection'
