McFly Fanfiction Rules

1. When posting a fiction please use the appropriate form and please make sure you post it in the correct section. This thread will give you all the information you need on posting your fanfics correctly.
2. If you read a fic please comment appropriately. It’s rude not too and it makes the write happy that you've shown interest, a simple comment is acceptable, no one is asking for an essay, unless you want to write one. No being nasty to anyone.
3. No text talk. This is important as we have member whose first language isn’t English and text talk is hard enough to read at the best of times.
4. Plagiarism is illegal. Anyone caught plagiarizing someone else work will be banned unconditionally. If you notice anyone copying your or someone else’s work, please contact me about it. This will not be tolerated, using someone’s ideas is not on. I know its hard to make every fic original but copying word for word or plot for plot isn’t nice so don’t do it. If your struggling for ideas then why not find someone to write a joint fic with? Joint Fic Request Thread
5. One of our most important rules is: respect all users, everyone is here for the same reason, to read or write fanfic and for their love of McFly. If you don’t you will receive a warning, more than one warning and you will be banned for 1 week, if you continue to be disrespectful you will be banned indefinitely. Bulling in any way on this forum will not be tolerated.
6. Now onto the guys, please try not to discuss their personal lives. Articles that are in newspapers and magazines are ok but being hateful and nasty about ANY of the guys’ girlfriends or family is not on. They are human beings after all and unless you know them personally you really have no right to bad mouth them just because you don’t like that they are dating the guys. Doing this repeatedly will earn you a ban from the forum.
7. Personal pictures: Don’t post them. I know before I didn’t really go as far as punishing people for posting or deleting them but from now on they will be deleted. Please remember though pictures that the guys post on twitter are ok but bear in mind rule six if they feature a girlfriend/family member/friend.
8. Leaked songs: Ok I’ve posted a thread on this, but, DO NOT post links to any leaked demo/songs. (i.e. download links or youtube videos). These songs have been stolen and may get the forum closed down and I’ve put too much work into it for that so don’t do it please. Check out here for more info
